During the Anusara-Inspired Teacher’s Gathering at Squaw Valley near Lake Tahoe, in the week leading up to Wanderlust, John Friend, the Founder of Anusara Yoga, began to emphasize an element of traditional Tantrik practices that had not previously been highlighted in the Anusara curriculum: sacred geometry and the Yantra arts. To celebrate and mark this beginning, John commissioned an artist by the name of Ekabhumi to create three special Yantras, one for each of the Trimurti: Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva.
I was excited to be able to interview the artist behind these amazing works, whose full name is Charles Ekabhumi Ellik. Check out the video below to find out more about what exactly a Yantra is, the process of making Yantras, the three Yantras commissioned by Anusara Yoga, and how we can use Yantras in our own practices to realize our own divinity more fully.
