Aloha Bay Shakti Readers, I am sharing with you, the esteemed reader, some pictures from my practice this week done during one session. I am not sharing these pictures to brag about my practice, only the fact that I’m in Hawaii while doing it.
But seriously, you should know that I am sending these pictures along, after some thought, because I think it is always a good learning opportunity to see other people’s practice. I know from assisting that “seeing bodies” is hugely illuminating to reflect on whether you are also doing the same tendencies in your own practice. I may be able to “do / achieve ” some of these poses / forms, but there is always room for improvement. There is always opportunity to do the pose with more integrity, more faithfulness to the alignment principles. I use these pictures as a study guide to understand, why yes, I do need to lift the underside of my arms more in down dog , or some more kidney loop would be great there, etc. I share these pictures with you in the raw, they are not Yoga Journal ready for sure, but I hope you glean some inspiration from them or insights into your own practice. Namaste, Ginger
