I have been living in San Francisco for almost 3 years, and this is about as close to Utopia as I can imagine a place to be. I have grown so much in the past 3 years through my yoga practice. Teaching this past year has been rewarding and has helped my own practice expand. There is nothing quite like teaching, actually having to articulate concepts, to help you learn it better yourself.
I view yoga as a vehicle for transformation to a light filled consciousness. My personal default, go-to emotional state has not always been so shri filled. It is in large part, due to this practice, specifically Anusara, that I have been able to step into the light more fully and clearly than ever. Consequently, the last 3 years of my life have been my happiest years on this planet to date. If only someone had given me instructions for how to be happy sooner! This happiness is not superficial. I am not glazing over old issues. I truly believe that I have found an authentic happiness. I still have normal contractions, but the severity of the rain is lessoned and more intermittent. For this, I am grateful.
Because of my own radical transformation and shift, I feel a need and desire to give back. I want to help people heal and access their own sources of inner light that we all have. To this end, I assist, teach, sub, practice, and now am blogging to let the healing grow and multiply.
This website / blog is a labor of love. It is my intention to share with you, the reader, a recap and expanded version of my class themes. Not only will these entries help my students understand the class material better, but it also will help draw in a wider audience of Anusara yoga students, and those who are simply curious about Anusara. I plan on using this forum to share my musings on yoga and open up a dialogue through comments and guest writers. I would also like to post interviews and keep a log of upcoming Anusara events in the Bay Area and beyond.
I am open to content suggestions. Please do help me keep this forum as interactive as possible. I am interested in what your thoughts are. The more you share your thoughts through comments, suggestions and postings, the more successful this website will be.
Many thanks are in order to my magnificent husband, a Social Media Jedi, who has brilliantly helped me get off and running on this site. Without his valuable insights and suggestions, this site would still be just an idea.
I, of course, would like to thank you, the Anusara Enthusiast, for visiting my site. I hope to hear from you soon.
Blessings of Shri and Light ~Namaste,
