11 300x134 Bay Area Anusara Teachers: Leading the Way in Origin Magazine

Origin Magazine

There’s a new magazine in the yoga space, Origin Magazine, which bills itself as “One source for Arts+Culture. Yoga. Music. Film. Technology. Sustainability+Organic Living.”  Their mission at Origin Magazine is:

“To create a cohesive+connected Texas Art+Yoga Community that cross pollinates with West Coast and New York. We support an Art Community that Collaborates + Creates, bridging the gap between the artist and the collector. We are a channel for transformation, connection, vison, intention and creation. We Integrate Art+Music+Yoga+Health, they are all the same…just different mediums of transformation.”

As a former Texan, it really delights me.  And it’s an intriguing concept, and an attention grabbing format:  one cover of the magazine opens up to all things art and music related.  Flip it over, and the other cover opens up to all things related to yoga and health related.  Their Editor in Chief, Maranda Pleasant, was at the Wanderlust Festival back in July and is inspiring in her vision and dedication to this venture.

Anusara yoga teachers from across the country have been well represented in all three issues published to dates.  Elena BrowerAmy Ippoliti, and Christina Sell are all columnists/contributors, and closer to home, Sianna Sherman, KK Ledford, and Stacey Rosenberg have all written for the magazine.  You’ll definitely want to check out their site, and I hear that the latest issue should be available in California Whole Foods Markets.  Be sure to check them out!
