MC YOGI

MC Yogi – Rock On Hanuman, Live @ Toby’s from MC Yogi on Vimeo.

At Yoga Kula SF this past Friday night, MC Yogi dropped into Sianna Sherman and Darren Rhodes’ Sadhana Shop for a impromtu rendition of his “Rock on Hanuman” hip hop homage.  Wow, was it powerful and fun. I had a smile on my face the entire time while MC Yogi didn’t skip a beat. MC Yogi led us through the vibe first showing us the beat, a combination of our fists pounding the floor and alternating clapping the floor, the standard hip hop beat-pound, clap, pound pound clap, etc. and then the chorus, Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram.  Check out his website, http://mcyogi.com

BRONWIN

bronwin 2 Great CDs, MC Yogi Elephant Power and Bronwin Bhavana

During savasana this weekend, Darren Rhodes played his wife, Browin Rhode’s CD Bhavana. The music on the Vimeo Making of Tanutara, Darren Rhodes Anusara syllabi poster, is by Bronwin.  I put two and two together that the track on Vimeo was Bronwin when he played a different track that sounded like her during savasana.  The track that he played was Mangala Murati, which was moving, uplifting and peaceful.  There are no more CD’s in stock for the moment, all sold out, however, I ordered the MP3 and that worked just fine. Check out clips of the album on http://cdbaby.com/cd/bronwin
